*Invocation

*Hymn 235 “All Glory, Laud and Honor”

1 All glory, laud, and honor

to thee, Redeemer, King,

to whom the lips of children

made sweet hosannas ring!

Thou art the King of Israel,

thou David's royal Son,

who in the Lord's name comest,

the King and blessed One!

2 The people of the Hebrews

with palms before thee went;

our praise and prayer and anthems

before thee we present:

to thee, before thy passion,

they sang their hymns of praise;

to thee, now high exalted,

our melody we raise.

3 Thou didst accept their praises;

accept the prayers we bring,

who in all good delightest,

thou good and gracious King!

All glory, laud, and honor

to thee, Redeemer, King,

to whom the lips of child

*5th Sunday Global Mission Confession of Faith

(Adapted from various statements, rewritten, and organized by  Pastor Drew)

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments,  to be the inspired Word of God, the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of man and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith, life, and conduct.  We believe the scripture teaches that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, and that the atoning death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground of justification and salvation for  all who believe.

We believe the scripture teaches only those who the Holy  Spirit regenerates and receive Jesus Christ by grace through faith are forgiven of their sin, declared righteous and sealed for the day of redemption; wherein the believer will be resurrected unto eternal life and the unbeliever unto eternal damnation.

We believe the scripture teaches that all Christians must commit themselves to the ministry of evangelism and discipleship, as Jesus commanded in His great commission in Matthew 28.

Therefore, we believe it is the responsibility of our Church to dedicate ourselves to the ministry of local and global missions, through prayer, giving, sending, or being sent, all for the glory of God and the expansion of Christ’s Church and Kingdom.

Palm Sunday Reading: Matthew 21:1-11 Page 826

Pastoral Prayer and Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*Hymn 310 “Rejoice, the Lord Is King”

1 Rejoice, the Lord is King:

your Lord and King adore!

Rejoice, give thanks, and sing,

and triumph evermore.

Refrain:

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice!

Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!

2 Jesus the Savior reigns,

the God of truth and love;

when he had purged our stains,

he took his seat above. [Refrain]

3 His kingdom cannot fail,

he rules o'er earth and heav'n;

the keys of death and hell

are to our Jesus giv'n. [Refrain]

4 He sits at God's right hand

till all his foes submit,

and bow to his command,

and fall beneath his feet. [Refrain]

5 Rejoice in glorious hope!

Our Lord, the Judge, shall come,

and take his servants up

to their eternal home. [Refrain]
